The Guest House has been hosting on Airbnb for 4 years as a Superhost, with over 80 reviews averaging 4.98 stars and a spot in the top 10% of homes on the platform. It's an open-concept tiny house on our 40 acres in Osage County, with a full kitchen, a large bathroom, a fenced yard for your pets, and space to sleep six — a queen bed, a king couch that converts, a fold-out chair, and an air mattress. Outside there's a grill with tools, a fire pit sitting area, and room to park a boat.

Out the door there's an organic permaculture garden, oak trails to wander, and the water half a mile south of our gate. In summer, the tomatoes are worth the trip alone. Most guests come for a weekend and end up spending it outside.

The Guest House is listed on Airbnb, where you can see current rates and availability. And if you're planning a gathering while you're here, the Event Center next door is a separate space with its own booking — plenty of families reserve both.

FAQ

Arrival & Access

  • Check-in is self-service. Enter at the Prairie's End sign and drive to the first building — that's the Guest House. Park anywhere close, and you'll find the key on the Guest House gate. Check-in is 3:00 pm, and check-out is 11:00 am.

  • Anywhere close to the Guest House. There's also room for a boat.

  • Yes. The washer and dryer are in the garage, in the same building but accessed separately. Just ask and we'll let you in.

The Space

  • Six. It's an open-concept tiny house with a queen bed, a king couch that converts to a bed, a fold-out chair bed, and a double air mattress on a frame — you'll find that one in the bathroom cabinet.

  • Yes, a full kitchen, along with a large bathroom and a fenced yard.

  • A fenced yard for your pets, a grill with tools, and a fire pit sitting area.

  • Yes, with a $29 pet fee. The yard is fenced, and we ask that pets stay leashed elsewhere on the property to protect our birds and wildlife.

  • There are exterior security cameras on the property. There are none inside the Guest House.

The Farm

  • Yes. There are walking trails and quiet spots across all 40 acres for you, your family, and your pets. Please keep pets leashed — we share the land with a lot of wildlife, and you'll likely see deer.

  • Yes. The market and communal space are open to guests from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. We take Venmo, Cash App, and Square — QR codes are posted.

  • If Tchinina is teaching a class during your stay, you're welcome to join at no charge. If an outside instructor is running it, you'd buy a ticket like anyone else.

  • When it isn't booked for an event, the Event Center is a communal space for Guest House guests. It's a lot more room than a tiny house gives you, and it's next door.

Nearby

  • The water is half a mile south of our gate. Walnut Creek Park and landing is four miles away, and New Prue park and landing is six. We provide Guest House guests with a day pass to New Prue — just return it when you leave. Walnut Creek charges its own day-pass rate, paid at the gate.

  • Yes. There's room to park a boat right by the Guest House. We provide a day pass to New Prue Park and boat landing, six miles away — just return it at checkout. Walnut Creek Park and landing are closer, at four miles, with their own day-pass rate paid at the gate.

Booking & Lodging

  • No — they're two separate buildings on the property. The Guest House is a private home where overnight guests stay, with its own fenced yard and full kitchen. The Event Center is a day-use venue for gatherings and has no guest rooms inside. They're a short walk apart, and each is booked separately.

  • Yes, and plenty of families do — the Event Center for the celebration, the Guest House for out-of-town relatives — and some book the Event Center purely for the extra communal space. The two are booked separately: the Guest House through Airbnb, and the Event Center through the request form on our Event Center page. If you'd like both on the same weekend, reach out about the Event Center first, since dates there fill differently.

  • The Guest House is 500 square feet and set up for six, so group activities happen in the Event Center instead — which is available as communal space when it isn't rented. If you have something small in mind, ask and we'll work it out.
