The Event Center

The Event Center is a day-use venue on our 40 acres in Osage County — a barn-style building with wooden beams, string lights, and windows that look straight out into the trees. Inside, it seats up to 40 comfortably, which is the right size for a gathering where everyone can hear each other. It's about twenty minutes off Highway 412 and a short drive from Keystone Lake, close enough to be easy and far enough that the noise drops away when you pull in.

Inside, there's a full commercial kitchen, so you can cater, cook, or bring a family potluck without working out of coolers. The kitchen comes stocked with cookware and serving equipment, but not place settings — plates, glassware, flatware, and linens are yours to bring or rent. There's a wood stove for cold months, shaded picnic tables, and an open lawn for warm ones, which means the party can move outdoors when the weather cooperates. Weddings and receptions, family reunions, birthday parties, showers, workshops, church and community meetings — the space adapts to what you need it to be.

One thing worth knowing before you book: the Event Center is for daytime use and does not have guest rooms. Overnight stays are available next door at our Guest House, which sleeps six and can be booked separately through Airbnb. Plenty of families book both—the venue for the celebration and the Guest House for the out-of-town relatives. To check on a date, fill out our event request form, and Tchinina will get back to you.

Short events are self-cleaning. All other rentals include the option to pay the cleaning fee or handle it yourself using the checklist in your contract.

A $100 deposit holds your date, and the balance is due upon arrival on the day of your event.

There's a one-inch step up onto the front porch, and the bathroom has a wider door with room inside to turn a wheelchair. The front door is standard width, so if you're bringing a guest who uses a wheelchair, call us first, and we'll walk you through the details.

Food & Drink

Yes. Under Oklahoma law, all alcoholic beverages served at a venue must be poured by an ABLE-licensed Event Bartender — provided by the venue, your caterer, or arranged by you. If your event is open to the public, you'll also need a Special Event License from the ABLE Commission. No alcohol is sold by or from this venue.
Prairie's End owner Tchinina Rayburn holds an ABLE Event Bartender license and carries $1 million in liquor liability insurance. She can serve your event for a flat $100, with no tips accepted. If you'd prefer to arrange your own, she can recommend four licensed companies.
Yes. If you hire your own ABLE-licensed Event Bartender, we'll need two things at least 10 days before your event: a declaration page or letter from the insurer showing $1 million in liquor liability coverage for your event date, and a copy of the Event Bartender license. The license must belong to the person actually serving, not to the catering company. IDs are checked on arrival, and we card anyone we think we should. Underage drinking is not tolerated.
Yes, outside caterers are welcome, and the commercial kitchen is available. If your caterer is serving alcohol, we'll need a copy of their $1 million liquor liability policy and the ABLE Event Bartender license of the person actually serving — not the catering company's license — at least 10 days before your event.
Alcohol service stops one hour before the end of your event, along with the music.

Booking & Payment

Fill out the Event Request Form on this page. Submitting it starts a conversation rather than reserving the date — Tchinina will get back to you by email or phone to confirm availability and walk you through the details.
A full day, 8:00 am to midnight, is $500. A weekend retreat is $800. An eight-hour daytime event is $300, and a short two-to-three-hour event — a shower, a birthday party, a memorial — is $100. If you just need the commercial kitchen for your own product, that's $25 an hour. Cleaning is $150, or you can clean it yourself using the checklist in your contract. Short events are self-clean.
A $100 deposit is due at booking, with the remaining balance due the day of your event on arrival.
Full refund if you cancel 30 or more days before your event. Half refund at 10 days. No refund on the day of the event.
If we have to cancel for an emergency, you will receive a full refund.
Yes, a card is kept on file for the day of the event to cover any damages.
Yes. Pricing for classes is negotiable based on what you're charging for tickets — get in touch and we'll work it out.
Yes. Prairie's End carries $1 million in general liability and $1 million in liquor liability coverage, and our agritourism exemption is posted on the property.

Rules & Logistics

Your choice. You can clean the space yourself using the checklist provided in your contract, or pay a $150 cleaning fee and leave it to us.

Smoking is permitted outside only. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly.
