Classes & Workshops
Tchinina Rayburn is an Oklahoma Master Gardener, and she teaches what she practices. Classes at Prairie's End happen on a working farm, in the garden and the commercial kitchen where the work actually gets done — not in a rented meeting room with slides.
Class sizes are small, and the schedule follows the season. Pruning happens when it's time to prune. Preserving happens when there's something to preserve.
What she teaches
Permaculture: Working with the land rather than against it. Our 7,200-square-foot garden and food forest are built to produce through drought conditions, and the class walks through how and why.
Fruit Growing & Pruning: When to cut, where to cut, and what happens if you don't. Hands-on in the orchard.
Food Preservation: Canning, jelly and jam making, and putting up what you grew. Taught in our licensed commercial kitchen.
Craft Workshops: Seasonal projects, and more fun than they sound.
